2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative and fairly intelligent. Most of the place manes mentioned by PW were not listed on the map. Information seemed fairly reliable. Not recommended for further interrogation.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
30 Jun 50 - Ten (10) civilian truck drivers including PW were inducted at CH’ONGJIN (淸津). Departed for P’YONGYANG by train.
2 Jul 50 - The ten men reached P’YONGYANG.
3 Jul 50 - Assigned to the Transport Co, 10th Div. PW received 15 days military training.
28 Jul 50 - The 10th Div departed P’YONGYANG by train. The 10th Div Hqs (forward) 10th Div Hqs (Rear) and 20 truck drivers departed P’YONGYANG in 4 trucks and 2 jeeps.
20 Jul 50 - Reached SEOUL. During the 3 day stay, PW hauled rations (rice, bread, ‘Sake’, beer, tobacco, etc.) to the YONGDUNGP’O (永登浦) RR station from a warehouse in SEOUL by truck. PW saw the troops of the 10th Div who departed P’YONGYANG by train at the YONGDUNGP’O railroad station.
o/a 3 Aug 50 - The 10th Div Hqs (Forward and Rear) and the truck drivers departed from YONGDUNGP’O by train.
4 Aug 50 - Arrived a tunnel located approx 4 km SE of CHONUI(1020-1530). Remained overnight and next day departed by truck.
10 Aug 50 - The 10th Div assembled at a place called YONARI(village of appox 10 huts). PW believes approx 30 km SE of MUJU (武州). The truck drivers hauled ammunition from TAEJON to YONARI for about a week.
o/a 16 Aug 50 - The 10th Div Rear and the truck drivers arrived CHUNHWA-DONG(not listed on map. PW believes in vicinity of 1120-1430). The remaining units of the 10th Div were located along the NAKTONG River at this time. The truck drivers hauled ammunition and food to front line units until 21 sep 50.
23 Sep 50 - PW and another driver were captured by US troops while hauling ammunition from KUMCH’ON (金泉) to SONGJU (星州).

1st Plt - about 30 men (These men pulled guard, loaded and unloaded supplies from trucks).

1st Plt - 10 trucks drivers. 2 x GAZ-51 trucks and 2 x ZIS-151 trucks.
2nd Plt - 10 truck drivers. 2 x GAZ-51 trucks and 2 x ZIS-151 trucks.
Vehicle Maintenance Plt (directly under Transport Co) 15 mechanics.

Last Known Composition of Unit (as of 23 Aug 50):
PW stated there were no losses in the Transport Co, 10th Div except PW’s truck which was captured by the US troops. PW stated there was only one spare tire on each truck and vehicle parts were very scarce.

Communications:
The road between KORYONG (高靈) (1120-1450) and KUMCH’ON and the road from KUMCH’ON to SONGJU is passable.

Location of Ammunition Dumps:
PW said that the ammunition dumps were located along the hills of CHUNHWA-DONG (not listed on map. Believes them to be in the vicinity of 1120-1430).

Morale and Propaganda:
Morale of the troops was low because they had very little training. PW believes that propaganda leaflets would be very effective in influencing NKPA troops. Believes that most troops realize that they cannot win this war.
