2. ASSESSMENT:
Subject seemed intelligent. He was cooperative and talked freely. He was captured in civilian clothing while hospitalized.
Length of service - 19 Months
Physical condition - Appeared to be in good health.
Information believed reliable.

3. MILITARY HISTORY:
Inducted on 18 Feb 49 and attached to the 105th Tank Div, 107th Regt, which was located at PYONG YANG(平壤)

On the way to SUWON (水原), PW was left behind at SHI FUN (始興) 4 Km S of YONG DONG PO (永登浦) because of poor health.
He, therefore, was not aware of subsequent movements of the 105th Tank Div.
When the Korean conflict started, the 105th Tank Div was near POCHON (抱川), approx 40 Km NE of SEOUL.
The 105th Tank Div participated in the battle of SEOUL.

6. FOREIGN ELEMENTS:
4 Russian Col (n/unk) wearing dark crimson epaulets with tank insignia was attached to the 105th Tank Div as tactical adviser.
5 Russian Lt Cols were also attached to the regt as military advisers. They were with this unit until it arrived at the 38th parallel. They then returned northward.

7. UNIT ORGANIZATION & STRENGTH:
The 105th Tank Div was organized in Apr 49 at PYONG YANG (平壤) Present strength of this Div is believed to be about 4500 men.
The 105th Tank Div was composed of 4 regts. They were the Training Regiment, the 106th Regiment, the 107th Regiment, and the Independent Regiment.
There were 3 battalions in each regiment and 3 companies and 1 specialist (tank mechanic) company in each battalion.
There were 3 platoons in each company.

8. ARMOR:
There were approx 350 tanks (T-34) in the 105th Tank Div. 65 tanks were assigned to each regiment.
Approx 30 (3 T) trucks for supply were in the Div.

9. MORALE:
Morale of the 105th Div was extremely high because the Div had never been defeated in battle.
Basic food was rice and beans.

10. COMMUNIST HQ:
The Communist Headquarters in PYONG YANG (平壤) was located in the City Hall.
The NK Army GHQ was located in the former Japanese 24th Unit HQ building at PYONGCHON Rl (平川里), in PYONG YANG (평찬리).
This GHQ building was used by the Supreme Commander of the NK Army.
