Evaluation:
PW was not willing to answer questions. Information limited. PW was captured. 4 days attar he was attached to the 5th Div. Information considered unreliable by interrogator.

Military History:
23 Jul 50 - PW was inducted at MUNCH'ON (文川) Training Center. About 1.900 recruits were in the Canter. Most of the 1,900 men did not receive any training. (PW stated that all those who had worked in factories received one hour of military training while on the job everyday since 1946).
5 Aug 50 - The 1,900 recruits departed MUNCH'ON by train. A cadre of 500 remained at the MUNCH'ON Training Center.
6 Aug 50 - The 1,900 men reached YANGYANG (襄陽).
7 Aug 50 - The 1,900 marched southwards.
O/a 17 Aug 50 - The 1,900 men reached UTCHIN (蔚珍). Divided into companies and departed next day.
O/a 23 Aug 50 - The companies ranched a point 8 km W of P’OHANG-DONG. PW and 130 others were attached to the 3rd Co, 7th Bn, 10th Regt. There were only about 20 original members remaining in the 3rd Co. These 1,900 men were dived between the 10th and the 11th Regts. PW did not know the location of 11th Regt. The replacements including PW were issued M1819/30 and 60 rounds. The disposition of the 10th Regt was by companies along the hills 8 km W of P’OHANG-DONG.
O/a 27 Aug 50 - The 3rd Plt of the 3rd Co was ordered to patrol P’OHANG-DONG. The 3rd Plt led by a Jr Lt advanced to a hill approx 5 km W of P’OHANG-DONG. They slept here one night.
28 Aug 50 - The 3rd Plt encountered ROK troops on the my back to their original position. About 20 Man including N surrendered to the ROK troops. PW did not know what happened to the Jr Lt and others.

Weapons and Personnel:
3rd Co - 150 men, about 12 x LMGs, about 12 x submchine guns. Riflemen armed with M1891/30 rifles. Casualties unknown.

Capability of Unit:
Morale of the replacements was vary low. The replacements were conscripts who were unwilling to fight.

Supplies:
Begged rice from farmers and ate average twice a day.
