Evaluation:
Cooperative but information was limited, due to lack of training. PW was wearing civilian clothes, when captured by ROK Police.

Military History:
Inducted 17 Jul 50, KYO-DONG Primary School, SEOUL inducted with 500 men, to be replacements. No basic training. Arms and ammo issued at KUSAN-DONG (九山洞). Squad leader showed PW how to use gun in about 5 minutes.
Hearsay: In SEOUL heard 500,000 men are training as replacements for various units at the front (informed by a Lt in SEOUL, d/u Jul 50).
Tactical Movement: Departed SEOUL - marched - 500 men in unit plus guerrilla unit of 3 women and 5 men. Women not armed. Men armed with US .45 cal automatic pistols.
? Aug 50 - arrived MUN’GYONG (聞慶). The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Cos were formed in MUN'GYONG. PW heard that 3rd Co was attached to 1st Bn, 1st Regt, 1st Div. Each Co 163 men. The 3rd Co went ahead of the other Co’s. The guerrilla unit remained in MUN’GYONG.
? Aug 50 - Departed MUN’GYONG 3rd Co marched - arrived KUSAN-DON 23 Aug 50.
24 Aug 50 - 3rd Co fought. the ROK Troops for 12 hours. ROK Troops fired artillery and mortar shells on 3rd Co position for 6 hours. Losses - 110 killed, lose of 70% of the arms and ammunition. PW went to a village at the foot of the mountain and changed into civilian clothes which he acquired from a farmer.
28 Aug 50 - ROK Police captured PW in village and turned him over to ROK Forces.

Personalities:
Unit officers unknown. Officers in unit are called Comrades. No names of officers known.

Armor:
3 tanks at MUN’GYONG on main highway, at night heading south. 2 x T-34/76, 1 x T-34/85. Date unknown. 3 tanks at KUNWI (軍威) 23 Aug 50 - hearsay.
10 x AT Guns, 57 mm M1943; 5 x 45 mm M1937 moving toward HAMCH’ANG from MUN’GYONG, date unk.

Capability of Unit:
Morale in unit low. Food is low and they’re afraid of artillery Left SEOUL with one truck load of rice and cigarettes. Truck destroyed by air craft outside of MUN’GYONG.

Vehicles:
Observed about 50 turcks GAZ-51, heading for HAMCH’ANG from MUN’GYONG, d/u Aug 50, loaded with supplies.

Additional Information:
Hearsay: (Source. 1st Regt CO) That 2nd Div, 3rd Div and 4th Div were in P'ALGONGSAN Area (八公山) ready to attack TAEGU. 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Divs were preparing to attack PUSAN via MASAN Area. 9th Div and 10th Div were to attack TAEGU from SINNYONG Area (1170-1460). And 5 other Divs are coming from the rear to mop up the remaining UN and ROK Troops.
