PW is illiterate and was uncommunicative. Information may not be reliable.

Military History:
Inducted 10 May 50, PYONGYANG. One month basic training at CHINNAMP'O with 4th, 5th and 6th Co's.

Tactical Movements:
Departed CHINNAMP'O 15 Jun 50 (300 men) - marched - arrived YON’GYO-RI 16 Jun 50. Waited a month for orders to depart.
Departed YON'GYO-RI (850-1860) 20 Jul 50 (300 men) - RR - arrived SEOUL 30 Jul 50. Hearsay - Heard that there were no NK troops in SEOUL, that they all had gone to the front.
Departed SEOUL 1 Aug 50 (300 men) - marched - arrived TAEJON 16 Aug 50. No troop concentrations in TAEJON.
Departed TAEJON D/U Aug 50 - (300 men) - marched - arrived SONGJU D/U Aug 50 - traveled via Mt trail at night. Does not know what towns he passed on way to SONGJU.
Departed SONGJU D/U Aug 50 (100 men) - marched - arrived NAKTONG River, - 27 Aug 50. Captured with another man by UN troops, 28 Aug 50. 4th and 6th Co remained in SONGJU (星州). Believes that the 5th Co still is on west bank of the river. Does not know where the 14th Div is located. 4th, 5th and 6th Co were replacements for the 14th Div.

Weapons and Personnel:
3rd Co armed with 1891/30 rifles. No other weapons observed. 300 men were replacements. No other information available.

Capabilities of unit:
Morale of men in the unit was unknown, however, PW’s morale was low due to his' being pushed around by older men in the unit, lack of food and missing his family very much. He did not want to fight and was afraid of aircraft.

Armor:
Observed 3 x T-34/85 tanks in TAEJON D/U Aug 50 destroyed by aircraft.

Supplies:
Average of two rice balls daily from SEOUL to TAEJON. TAEJON to NAKTONG River - one rice ball daily.

Enemy Intentions:
Objective of PW’s unit was TAEGU.
