PW was very cooperative and intelligent. Information is fairly reliable.

3. MILITARY HISTORY:5 Jul 50 - Inducted at WONSAN (元山) and attached to the NK Navel Training School.
12 Jul 50 - PW and 30 other cadets departed WONSAN Naval Training School.
13 Jul 50 - Arrived CHONGJIN (淸津) Naval Training School. (by rail)
15 Jul 50 - Not accepted for naval training due to his family background. (Father was a business man and he had relatives in South KOREA.)
15 Jul 50 - Transferred to KANDOK (康德) l2km NW of CHONGJIN into the NKA 507th Unit HQ Reconnaissance Co.
15 Aug 50 - Appointed Sr Sgt of the 1st Plat, HQ Ron Co.
15 Oct 50 - The entfre 507th Unit (the unknwon Brig) departed KANDOK.
25 Oct 50 - Arrived at KILCHU (吉州). The 507th Unit HQ was located in KUMSONG DONG (金松洞).
3 Nov 50 - The HQ Ren Co departed the HQ area (KUMSONG DONG) for reconnaissance patrol.
5 Nov 50 - PW and 4 others deserted 12km SE of KILCHU.
13 Nov 50 - Surrendered to the 32nd Inf at IWON (利原).
4. ORGANIZATION:The 507th Unit was reorganized. into a Brig during mid Oct. The number of the Brig was unknown.
The 507th Unit was composed of the following Bns and Cos:

The total strength of the 507th Unit was approx 4,500. However, only 1,000 troops were stationed with the unit HQ at KUMSONG DONG,

PW heard that about 3 Bns of NK marines were in the NAJIN (羅津) area.
7. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:PW heard from the follow soldiers that the assembly area for the 507th Unit in case of retreat was at MUSAN (茂山).
Since units of the 507th (Brig?) were stationed in various places their armament was unknown to PW. However, he observed HMGs, LMGs and 76mm Arty guns in the Inf units, but the total was unknown.
