4. DISPOSITION OF ABOVE UNITS:
The 15th Div Hq on 9 Sep 50 was located 8 Kms North of YONGCHON.
In the event that it has to retreat, it will most likely go to CHUPU Primary School 32 Kms North of YONGCHON. The school was previously used as the Div Hq.
The Div Arty Hq and guns on 9 Sep 50, withdrew 8 kms North of YONGCHON.
The Self-propelled gun Bn was annihilated on 9 Sep 50,
The 45mm AT Gun Co and AA MG Plt were annihilated 4 Kms east of YONGCHON.
The 45th, 47th and 50th Regts were located 6 Kms East of YONGCHON. The 47th and 45th Regts flanked the 50th Regt,
The reserve troops of the 15th Div (newly arrived replacements) were at CHUPU Primary School located about 32 Kms North of YONGCHON.

6. PERSONALITIES:
1st Lt CHANGMAN Won (長滿元) (장만원), age 26, 50th Regt, 45mm AT Co CO.
2nd Lt CHOE, Yong Wan (최용완), age 24, 50th Regt, 45mm AT Co, 2nd Plt. Wounded and evacuated 5 Sep 50.
2nd Lt CHOE, Yong Kyu (최용규), age 26, 50th Regt, 45mm AT Gun Co, 3rd Plt.
Lt Col LEE, U1 Sol (리을걸), age 40, 50th Regt CO.

7. PERSONAL & UNIT HISTORY:
Inducted 21 Oct 48, with 2,500 others at NANAM. The newly inducted troops activated the 6th Regt of the 2nd Div. The 6th Regt received basic and tactical training between Oct 48 to Jul. 49. On Jul 49, the 6th Regt was transferred to HAMHUNG. The 6th Regt trained at HAMHUNG between Jul 49 to March 50. On 4 March 50, the informant and 216 others were transferred to the HAERYONG 3rd Youth Training Regt as cadre, On 20 May 50, the name of the 3rd Youth Training Regt was changed to the 781 Unit at the same time that the 15th Div was activated. Between 20 May to 21 June 50, 781 Unit received basic training.
On 21 June 50, the 781 Unit was transferred to KIMCHON, arriving 24 June 50. At KIMCHON the 781 unit was joined by the 15th Div. On 27 June 50, the 15th Div marched to HWACHON, CHUNCHON, HONGCHON, (781 unit's name was officially changed to 50th Regt at HONGCHON), CHUNGHOWON, UMSONG, CHONAN, CHUPUNG MYON, UISONG, KUNWI and arrived at YONGCHON 6 Sep 50.
On 6 Sep 50, the informant's company was ambushed. The informant was captured when he was attempting to rejoin his company.

8. ARTILLERY:
The Div Arty of the 15th Div was last seen on 9 Sep 50, 8 Kms North of YONGCHON.

9. FOOD & AMMO SUPPLY:
The 15th Div did not receive any fresh ammo supply. The ammo that each unit had was issued in North KOREA.
The informant was an AT gun chief. He received 50 rounds of ammo for his initial issue when he departed North KOREA.
Food was usually confiscated from the newly occupied territory to supply the Division. The food supply often failed to reach the troops, because of aircraft. Prior to capture, the informant's company was without food for 3 days.

10. REPLACEMENTS:
Between 26 June 50 to 9 Sep 50, the 50th Regt received 800 replacements. The replacements were mostly students recruited in North KOREA subsequent to the cutbreak of the war.
The wounded troops were evacuated through channels to the Division field hospital which was usually located 8 Kms in the rear of Div Hq.
Trained medical personnel, medical, supplies, etc. were inadequate, A large percentage of the wounded died from lack of medical care.
Wounded troops, after recuperation. generally are returned to their original unit for further front-line duty.
Troops separated from their parent organization could join the adjacent unit only if the adjacent unit belonged to the same division. After joining the adjacent unit. a certain period of time is allotted to the troops to find their parent organization.

11. ENEMY INTENTIONS:
The mission of the 15th Div was to take KYONGJU, then advance south to PUSAN together with units of the 3rd Corps (15th Div, 13th & 2nd).
The 2nd Corps (believed to be 4th, 5th, & 7th Div) will attempt to take TAEGU.
Tho 1st Corps (consisting of three (3) Div) will attempt to advance to PUSAN either by route of CHOLLA PUKTO or GHOLLA NAMDO.
The troops were ordered to fight to the last man.
The NK Army is receiving aid from RUSSIA and CHINA in the form of machinery, weapons and munitions only.

12. MORALE:
The morale or the troops was very low because:
1. There is a rumor among the troops that US will atom bomb the N.K.′s.
2. Failure of ammo supplies to reach the troops.
3. Air attacks.
4. Replacement troops do not know how to handle weapons.
5. Lack of food.

13. CAPTURED EQUIPMENT:
Captured equipment consisted chiefly of M-1 rifles and carbines which were issued to replacement troops.
