STRENGTH OF ABOVE UNITS:Trans Co (45th Ragt): Strength as of 4 Sep 50 was 40 men, 1 x GAZ 51 truck, 4 x horse carts strength as of 8 Sep 50 was 13 men.
PERSONALITIES:No info.
PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:Inducted into NK army at SEOUL on 4 Aug 50. Departed SEOUL 5 Aug 50 with approx 700 others and marched through SUWON, CHONGJU, to UISONG where he joined the 15th Div, 45th Regt, Trans Co., on 3 Sep 50. Only 420 out of the 700 who departed SEOUL reached UISONG because others were taken ill and were unable to continue.
Trans Co travelled south toward YONGCHON but informant and 12 others ware separated and wore trying to catch up with their unit when they drew fire from ROK Forces l Km S of YONGCHON on 8 Sep 50. Informant and five others surrendered.
ARMOR:Two T-34 tanks observed 12 Km NW of YONGCHON 8 Sep 50.
ARTILLERY:Two 122mm howitzers observed 12 Km NW of YONGCHON 8 Sep 50.
FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:Food was confiscated from captured territory. Ammo was brought to the regiment by trucks. From regiment it was distributed to its units by the Trans Co.
Ammo did not arrive regularly; averaged about one truckload a week.
REPLACEMENTS:420 men (S Koreans and N Koreans) joined the 15th Div as replacements on 3 Sep 50 at UISONG.

ENEMY INTENTION:The objective of 45th Regt was KYONGJU (1218 - 1338)
MORALE:Morale of men in 15th Div was very low because of meager food rations.
