T/O & E of PW’s Unit:4th Div composed of 18th Rifle Regt and 2 other rifle regiments.
18th Rifle Regt of 1st and 2nd Inf Bns and 3 other battalions.
2nd Inf Bn composed of 4 rifle companies (each company, 80 men, 3x HMGs w/2,000 rounds each, 7 x LMGs w/1,000 rounds each, 3 x submachine guns, and rifles, each 100 rounds), and Heavy Weapons Co (30 men, 5 x HMGs and 5 x 82-mm Mortars, no ammunition). Every man carried 2 hand grenades.
Disposition of Above Units:17 Aug 50, 18th Regt CP located at YONGSAN-NI (1148-1382).

Aircraft strafing caused the most casualties.
Personal and Unit History:Inducted 7 Jul 50 at SINUIJU. Informant and 1,000 others departed SINUIJU and travelled by train to SEOUL. Arrived SEOUL 11 Jul 50. Marched southward to TAEJON and arrived 17 Jul 50. At TAEJON 500 separated and went to unknown area. The remaining 500 marched to YONGSAN-Ni. At YONGSAN-Ni the 500 joined 18th Regt as replacements 14 Aug 50. After crossing NAKTONG River on 16 Aug 50, informant deserted and wandered by himself until 23 Aug 50 at which time he was captured.
Armor:No information.
Artillery:5 x 76-mm Guns drawn by trucks observed 17 Aug 50 at TAEJON.
Food and Ammunition Supply:Ammunition (mostly small arm) carried to the front line on “A” frame by civilians.
Enemy Intentions:Objective of 18th Regt, PUSAN via MASAN.
Captured Equipment:Captured carbines were used.
