Cooperative. PW appeared to be in good physical condition. PW was illiterate. Information, although somewhat limited, seems to be reliable.
Inducted into the 239th Unit, 19 Sep 50, CHINNAMPO. Received 2 weeks basic inf training.
Departed CHINNAMPO o/a 25 Sep 50. Marched with 1st Bn of the 239th Unit. Arrived WONSAN o/a 25 Oct 50.
Departed WONSAN o/a 5 Nov 50. Fled on foot from advancing ROK troops upon receiving orders from 1st Bn CO. Arrived in the mountains around PYONGGANG o/a 22 Nov 50.
O/a 27 Nov 50, the NKA personnel in the mountains were organized into the 2nd Mob Regiment.
Departed from the mountains around PYONGGANG 10 Dec 50. Marched during the day with the entire 1st Bn of the 2nd Mobile Regt. Arrived approx 1/2 km northeast of YONCHON at night 10 Dec 50.
At night 12 Dec 50, the 1st Bn was attacked by ROK troops. 131200 Dec 50, while the attack by ROK troops was still continuing, PW was captured by advancing ROK troops.
The 2nd Mob Regt was activated o/a 27 Nov 50 at PYONGGANG (CT 5152) and was composed of approx 800 men.
2nd Mob Regt is composed of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Rifle Bns, 1 Med Plat, 1 Engr Plat, 1 Mort Plat (the mort plat has no mort), 1 Gd Plat, and 1 HMG Co (the HMG Co has no machine guns).
1st Bn is composed of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd Rifle Cos, 1 Supply Plat and 1 Med Sqd.
1st Co is composed of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Plats.
Each platoon is composed of 3 sqds with 10 men per sqd.

The 2nd Mob Regt is supposed to have tanks, vehicles, and horses to give it mobility. However, the regt has none of these mobile equipment.
II Corps Hq was located in the mountains approx 10 km northeast of PYONGGANG (as of 28 Nov 50).
2nd Mob Regt CP was located in an unidentified village approx 12 km northeast of YONCHON (as of 4 Dec 50).
1st Bn CP was located approx ½ mile northeast of YONCHON (13 Dec 50).
1st Co was spread out over the mountains around YONCHON (13 Dec 50).
13 Dec 50, the objective of the 2nd Mob Regt was YONCHON.
KIM, Song Pong (김성봉), 1st Lt (2 small stars), CO, 1st Co, 1st Bn, 2nd Mob Regt.
PAK, Un Sik (박운식), Jr Lt (1 small star), Plat Ldr, 1st Plat, 1st Co, 1st Bn, 2nd Mob regt.
13 Dec 50, the 2nd Mob Regt had received no repl.
Pers in the 2nd Mobile Regt subsisted by confiscating food from villages that units of the regt raided from time to time.
The only weapons and ammo that the 2nd Mob Regt pers had were those that they had brought with them when they fled from WONSAN o/a 5 Nov 50, plus whatever they could capture from ROK police in villages which the Regt raided.
Although the 2nd Mob Regt morale was low due to hard ships which accompanied their guerrilla activities, their determination and will to fight was strong.
