CHRONOLOGY:12 Dec 48: PW was a farmer at CHILIN-SHENG, HUATIEN-HSIEN (吉林省樺甸縣)
1 Oct 48: Volunteered into a public peace unit at CHILIN-SHENG, HUATIEN-HSIEN (吉林省樺甸縣). Received basic training for one month.
10 Nov 48: PW was transferred to the 164th Div, 1st Regt, 2nd Bn, Bn Hvy Weapons Co at CHANGCHUN (長春).
24 Jul 49: Above unit departed CHANGCHUN (長春) by rail for KOREA. UNIT became part of the NKA.
FORMER CCF UNIT:PW was a member of the Hvy Weapons Co of the 2nd Bn, 1st Regt, 164th Div at CHANGCHUN (長春). See Chart #2 for the breakdown of the 164th Div.
UNIT COMPLEMENT TRANSFERRED TO KOREA:Approx 99% of the unit were Korean Nationals who had volunteered into the CCF at MANCHURIA. Only few high ranking officers were Chinese Nationals. All the Koreans of this entire unit, were transferred to KOREA on 24 Jul 49.
