3. CHRONOLOGY:
13 Oct 22: Born in HSINGHSIN-TSUN(興新村), MANCHURIA and lived there until 14 years old.
Jun 35: Move to CHONGJIN(淸津), was engaged in farming.
Sep 42: Returned to HSINGHSIN-TSUN(興新村), MANCHURIA(Farming)
Feb 45: Went to POLI-HSIEN(勃利縣), MANCHURIA and worked as a carpenter.
6 Sep 45: Returned to HSINGHSIN-TSUN(興新村), MANCHURIA(Farmer)
30 Oct 47: Inducted into the CCF and received basic training for 3 months.
Feb 48: Assigned to the 4th Independent Infantry Regt, located in TIENKUANG(天光), MANCHURIA and was engaged in maneuvers in preparation for combat against the Chinese Nationalist Forces.
20 Mar 48: Departed TIENKUANG(天光), MANCHURIA.
1 Apr 48: Arrived in CHANGCHUN(長春), MANCHURIA. Assigned to 12th Army, 36th Div, 108th Ind Inf Regt, Guard CO. Combat training for 5 months.
30 Sep 48: Approx 50,000 troops of the 12th Army including the PW left for MUKDEN. Fought against the Chinese Nationalist Forces on the way to MUKDEN.
11 Nov 48: Arrived in MUKDEN and occupied the above city.
10 Feb ? : All troops of the 12th Army departed from MUKDEN, MANCHURIA
25 Jan ? : Arrived in TANGKU-SHIH(唐古市).
24 Apr 49: PW left TANGKU-SHIH(唐古市).
20 Jul 49: Occupied CHANGTE-SHIH (彰德市), CHINA.
24 Jul 49: Departed CHANGTE-SHIH (彰德市), CHINA.
6 Dec 49: KUEILIN (桂林)
2 Feb 50: Left KUEILIN (桂林), CHINA for KOREA.
14 Apr 50: Arrived in WONSAN(元山), KOREA. Received combat training here for about 2 months.
18 Jun 50: Departed WONSAN(元山), KOREA for P'OHANG(浦項) by rail.
17 Aug 50: Captured at KIGYE(杞溪) by South Korean Forces.

4. FORMER CCF UNIT
12th Army (See Organization Breakdown in attached sketch).
JAPANESE UNITS IN THE CCF
PW believed that there were no organized Japanese units in the CCF. However, in Oct 48, he observed approx 100 Japanese nurses and about 15 Japanese doctors in the 4th Field Army Hospital, located in YENCHI, MANCHURIA. Most of the above doctors and nurses were dressed in CCF's Army uniform and received officer's treatment and pay. PW believed that the above doctors and nurses were forced to serve in this hospital. Some of the doctors told PW that they wanted to return to JAPAN very badly.

OTHER CCF UNITS IN KOREA
All Koreans of the 4th and 5th Independent Infantry Division of the CCF were separated from the Chinese troops in CHANGCHUN-SHIH, MANCHURIA in December 49. This unit was named 5th Div (strength unknown) and was stationed in NANAM, KOREA where it remained when PW departed for the 38th parallel in Jun 50.
