13 Apr 50 - Conscripted into NKPA 10th Div, HAEJU (海州). Assigned as clothing supply clerk, 5th Div arty Regt, HAEJU,
23 Apr 50 - PW promoted from Pvt to Sgt (中士).
26 Jul 50 - 10th Div left HAEJU via rail. Div's Inf Regt's preceded 5th Div Arty Regt.
17 Aug 50 - 5th Div Arty Regt arrived at TAEJON via KAESONG (開城), SEOUL, SUWON (水原), CHONAN (天安). Clothing Supply Section and Motor Maintenance Section, 5th Div Arty Regt remained in wooded area 12 km S of TAEJON Remainder of Regt continued, by truck, to KORYONG (高靈) Area. Div Hq and Inf Regt's deployed in KORYONG Area (hearsay from fellow soldiers).
O/a 30 Aug 50 - PW promoted from Sgt to M/Sgt.
23 Sep 50 - PW left area, 12 km S of TAEJON, for TAEJON to obtain clothing supply. Arrived at TAEJON same day.
24 Sep 50 - PW changed from uniform into civilian clothes.
O/a 26 Sep 50 - Hoard of UN INCH'ON Landing (hearsay from fellow soldiers, TAEJON).
29 0700 K Sep 50 - PW surrendered to US Army troops, TAEJON.

Unit Withdrawals:
27 2000 K Sep 50 - Elements of 2nd and 9th Div's, totalling 10,000 troops, 100 trucks (1oaded with troops), passed through TAÉJON from KUMSAN (錦山) Area. No arty or armor observed. Above elements were withdrawing to CHOCH' IWON (_致院) and KAERYONG-SAN (鷄龍山) (828 feet), 20 km W of TAEJON, (hearsay from withdrawing troops 2nd and 9th Div’s).
O/a 27 Sep 50 - 10th Div units withdrew to the north through SONGJU (星州), KUMCHON (金泉) from KORYONG Area (hearsay from 10th Div troops in TAEJON).
Medical:
O/a 30 Aug 50 - Typhoid outbreak; civilian population in village 2km SE of KUMCH‘ON. Military personnel not affected. Unknown whether troops in area were innoculated.
Vehicles T/E:
10th Div, 5th Div Arty Regt: Believed to be 60 trucks (model u/k) including trucks hauling artillery. 5th Div Arty Regt allocated 30 trucks prior to departure, 26 Jul 50, HAEJU.
