2. ASSESSMENT:
PW and his family lived in KIAMUSZE (佳木斯), MANCHURIA from 8 Jun 42 to 20 Jun 46. PW finally returned to P’YONGYANG, North KOREA, 25 January 50.
PW volunteered for the NKA on 12 May 48. PW was vague in answering question and his information seems doubtful. He was not able to estimate the size of buildings. Information was very limited. Reliability poor.

KIAMUSZE (佳木斯), MANCHURIA

No 1. CCF Hospital:
This hospital was formerly a Japanese Military Hospital. The hospital was a 3-story reinforced-brick building approx 100m by 50m
No 2. Revenue Office:
The Revenue Office was a 2-story reinforced concrete building measuring approx 50m by 25m. PW did not know what this building had been used for under the Japanese rule.
No 3. & 4. Productive (殖産) Bank:
This bank was a reinforced concrete building (size unknown). It was formerly a Japanese Consumption Association.
No 5. Central Bank:
This 2-story bank was constructed of brick and it measured approx 50m square. The bank was the former Eastern Manchurian Bank (東滿銀行), which was owned by the Japanese.
No 6. Apartments:
The first families of those who worked at the productive bank lives in these apartments. Apartments were brick buildings. Number and size of apartments unknown.
No 7. City Affairs Office:
The City Affairs Office was a 2-story brick building measuring approx 100m by 50m. This building was formerly a Japanese Police Station.
No 8. City Council Office:
The City Council office was a 3-Story reinforced concrete building. PW was unable to estimate the size of the building. This building was formerly a Japanese City Office.
No 9. KIAMUSZE Theatre:
This theatre was reinforced concrete building. Size unknown.
No 10. Market Area:
No 11. Military Police Company Ho:
The Military Police Company Ho was a 2-story brick building. Size, unknown. PW estimated that there was approx 150 to 1370 Chinese MP quartered here.
No 12. Central Hotel:
The Central Hotel was a 4-story reinforced concrete building. Size, unknown. The Central Hotel was the former Continental (大陸) Hotel owned by the Japanese.
No 13. CCF Officers Dependent Housing:
The building was constructed of brick. Size, unknown. The building was formerly a Japanese Officers Dependent Housing.

The dimension of the City Park were approx. 400m by 300m
No 16. Unit Middle School:
The United Middle School was the former KIAMUSZE Middle school. The school was a reinforced concrete structure. Size, unknown.
No 17. United Girls’ Middle School:
The school building was a reinforced concrete structure. Size unknown. The school was former KIAMUSZE Girls Middle School.
No 18. CCF Barracks:
There were an unknown number of barracks (size unknown) here. Japanese troops were formally quartered in these barracks. PW heard from a Chinese soldier that a CCF Div Hq (designations unknown) and two Regt (designations unknown) It were located here.
No 19. Stock Breeding School:
The school was a 2-story building measuring approx 100m by 50m.
No 20. CH’ANG-FA-T’UN (長發屯) RR Station:
