3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
8 Jun 50: Conscripted in SINUIJU, and attended the NCO School in SINUIJU.
23 Jun 50: Graduated NCO School with 150 men in the grade of Jr Sgt, and was sent to 4th Co, 2nd Bn, 2nd Regt of the 7th Div located in INJE.
26 Jun 50: The 7th Inf Div was ordered to battle and went as far as WONJU on 5 Jul 50, where PW was wounded and taken to CHUNCHON Military Hospital,
25 Aug 50: Recovered and arrived at SEOUL. Was commissioned Jr Lt the next day.
Note: It was the policy of NK to promote all men who were injured while fighting at the front.
26 Aug 50: PW was reassigned to the 1st Co, 1st Bn, 2nd Regt, 32 Inf Div as platoon leader.
26 Sep 50: 32 Inf Div, retreated to KUMHWA.
5 Oct 50: 32 Inf Div retreated further northward to OKTONG NI.
10 Oct 50: PW with 1st Bn was ordered to battle at CHORWON; arrived in CHORWON the following day, and found the town invaded by UN Forces. The 1st Bn was routed by the heavy artillery barrages.
15 Oct 50: While PW was fleeing home, he was captured by ROK Troops.
Organization & Strength of Unit:
The 32 Inf Div was composed of 3 Regts which in turn had 3 Bns, with 4 Cos to a Bn. There were approx 500 men in a Bn.

Four LMG’s and 12 anti-tank guns.
Unit History:
27 Aug 50: The 32nd Infantry Div was. activated with three Regts in SUWON.
Dispositions:
The 32nd Inf Div Hq was located in OKTONGMI, on 10 Oct 50.
Knowledge of other Units:
The 7th Div originally composed of 3 Regts had decreased to only one Regt when PW fought with them. PW believes 7th Div was completely wiped out.
Morale and Propaganda:
Morale of PW’s unit was low due to lack of weapons & well-trained men. Propaganda leaflets were very effective and PW as well as numerous others surrendered willingly. certain of their safe keeping.
