3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:Chronology:
13 Aug 50 - Forcibly inducted in the army and sent to HAEJU (海州) for training.
23 Aug 50 - Moved to YONEDONAPO with 1st Bn. PW was assigned to the 2nd Plat, 1st Co as telephone operator.
9 Oct 50 - Ordered to battle in PAEKCHON.
10 Oct 50 - PW deserted in PAEKCHON and surrendered to US troops.
Unit Organization:
The 74th Regt was in the 46th Div (hearsay). Other was Regts unk. Actual strength unk, however 1st Bn had approx 600 men.
Communications:
Telephones were used. Code for the 1st Bn was CHONJIN.
