a. Chronology:
Mar 42: Inducted into CNA
Jul 48: Captured by CCF.
Oct 50: 40th Army arr ANTUNG.
Dec 50: Army arr SEOUL.
6 Feb 51: Dep SEOUL in formation of Bn.
13 Feb 51: Arr Vic CHIPYONG-NI. 3d Bn, 359th Regt, 120th Div, engaged in fire-fight for 5 hr. 1st and 2d Bn deployed in rear.
3d Bn lost approx 200 men, (100 KIA including Bn CO).
PW captured when position overrun.

b. Organization, Strength & Weapons:
Designations within 40th Army were formerly the 7th, 8th, and 9th Div. 9th redesignated as 120th Div.
120th Div composed of 358th, 359th, and 360th Regt.
359th Regt composed of 1st, 2d, 3d Rifle Bn, and Hvy Mortar Co.
3d Bn composed of 1st, 2d, 3d Rifle Co, HMG Co, and Sig Sqd.
358th and 360th Regt org were similar.

d. Replacements:
O/a 20 Jan - Heard that approx 2,000 replacements arrived from MANCHURIA and assigned to units of the 40th Army.

e. Morale:
Low - Majority of CNA personnel who composed approx 50% of the 120th Div, were unwilling to fight against the US due to the fact that they were allies during the late war.
CNA troops want to surrender but do not have the opportunity because they are kept under strict surveillance.
CNA personnel are discriminated against, and do not have opportunity for advancement.
