1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

2. ASSESSMENT:
Information reliable but limited. Not recommended for further interrogation.

3. PERSONAL & UNIT HISTORY:
Entered Anny 14 Jul 50 at HAE-JU.
Received 14 days training and departed by truck for KYONGSONG, arriving on 29 Jul.
Subject then departed KYONGSONG by truck and rode south thru SUWON, PYONGTAEK, CHICHIWON, TAEJON, CHONGJU and arrived at KWANG-JU, date unknown.
Subject remained in KWANG-JU one night and, on the same truck, departed northward over the same route back to SUWON, date unknown.
Remained in SUWON one day and departed to the south, passing thru TAEJON, KUMSAN, CHINAN, SANCHON, and arriving in CHINJU on about 24 Aug 50.
Subject arrived at place of capture on 2 Sep 50. Subject fought in this area for about 4 days and was captured by 27th RCT on 6 Sep 50.

4. TO AND E STRENGTH:
Div unknown.
3 Regt - Five 5 Bn's numbered from one to five.
One Inf Bn - Tree 3 companies, 100 men each.
One Company - Three 3 platoons, 30 men each,
3rd Regt, Rcn Co - 33 men and officers divided into 3 sqds.

5. EQUIPMENT:
3rd Regt, Rcn Co - 33 SMG’s. No other equipment.
Weapons observed with the Division were:
Rifles45 mm Guns
HMG’s120 mm Guns hearsay
LMG’s 


6. DISPOSITIONS:
The 3rd Regt was located about 3 km S of PW’s capture point on 6 Sep 50. Subject thinks the 7th Div Hq is at KWANGJU.
About 4 km S of CHONAN and 5-600 m to the left flank off the main road was a truck-fueling point. When the truck that subject was riding south on refueled, it was dark. However, PW thinks that the gas was being pumped out of the grounds.

7. COMMUNICATIONS:
Runners were the only means of communications for the RCN platoon. There were no telephones.

9. MORALE AND PROPAGANDA:
Morale is very low because food is short, ammo and weapons are limited, and they have no air support or navy.
