2. ASSESSMENT:
Civilian occupation: Truck driver's assistant
Education: Middle School, 2 years.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology
PW was forced to join the NKPA in CHINJU on 23 Aug 50.
About 250 - 300 civilians who were forced to join the unit left CHUlJU on 24 Aug and arrived on a mountain (located 1.5 km W of HAMAN) on 1 Sep 50. This group was ambushed by US troops, and 17 men were captured on the same day.
Conscripts had to carry small arms ammunition and food on their backs to troops located in HAMAN vicinity. Destination of unit was unknown.

b. Unit Organization and Strength:
PW stated that the KONKUP Plt of the 3rd Bn consisted of 50 men (from CHINJU). About 15 men remained at the time of his capture on 1 Sep 50.

c. Dispositions:
Food supply for 6th & 7th Div was located in a RR tunnel located between OBONG SAN and WONBUNG NI (1130-1360). About 200 - 300 bags of rice were stored there.

d. Intentions:
PW stated that all NK wounded troops were sent to HADONG. Number of wounded troops not known.

4. GENERAL:
Observed one (1) GMC truck (US Army) utilized by the NK People’s Army at CHINJU on 12 Aug 50.
PW was a South Korean and hated NK troops because they confiscated everything the farmers had.
