PW uncooperative, gave conflicting statements. Information obtained considered unreliable.
a. Chronology
376th Regt crossed the 38th Parallel on 2 Jan 51 then marched 16 km generally SE of HAN River arriving at unk location o/a 5 Jan 51. 6 Jan 51 376th Regt received orders to recross HAN River to location 16 km N of the river to mop up elements of bypassed ROK units. 376th Regt remained at this location for approx. 15 to 20 days. No UN troops were encountered. Officer informed the men that he would depart for MANCHURIA for replacements. 376th Regt recrossed the HAN River o/a 7 Feb 51 and arrived at place of capture o/a 14 Feb 51. Regt Hq was located approx 4 km N of place of capture. Locations of other Bn of 376th Regt unk.

42nd Army: 109th Div (other Div).
109th Div: 376th, 377th and 378th Regt.
376th Regt: 3 Rifle Bn.
2nd Bn: 4th, 5th and 6th Rifle Co and Hvy Wpn Co.

e. Ammo:
When departing MANCHURIA Hvy Wpn Co had 20 cases (200 rd per case) for each HMG. 7 cases per MG on hand at present. No reissue known to PW.
Remarks: A wounded CCF captured together with the above PW claims to be from the same unit. However, the wounded PW claims to be from the 42nd Army, 126th Div, 378th Regt. The above claims to be from 109th Div, 376th Regt. 109th Div may be the Code No.. of 378th Regt.
