1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

DUTIES: Rifleman
EDUCATION: 6 years primary school
OCCUPATION: Sundry goods merchant
HOME ADDRESS: SZECHWAN SHENG, CHAWAN-HSIEN, TIFUNG-SHAN, TAYANG-YUEN.
DATE AND PLACE OF CAPTURE: Captured on 4 Feb 1951 at CS 302344

2. CIRCUMSTANCES OF CAPTURE:
PW and 4 others who had been hiding in their bomb shelter came out of their shelter to surrender because of the fierceness of UN air and ground attacks. Two of these men were killed when they emerged from the shelter and only three, including PW were captured.

3. ASSESSMENT:
In spite of his education, gave poor information. He attributes this to poor memory. He had no sense of direction and ability of estimating distances.

Claimed the 3rd plat was the only unit occupying positions on the Hill (302344) on which he was captured. The 1st and 2nd plat are located about 1 km behind the 3rd plat.

60mm mortars - 2 in 9th Co.
HMG (Maxim M1931 w/tripod) - 6 in 3rd Bn

d. Code Names:
50th Army - LIANG SHAN PU (梁山部)
