a. Chronology:
27 Jan 50 - Conscripted at SI■■ONG NI near KUMCHON (BT 7826) and assigned to 7th Brig Arty Bn, 3rd Co, 2nd Plat, 1st Sqd (under the 38th Parallel Security troops).
26 May 50 - 38th Parallel Security troops deactivated. PW transferred to 9th Div, Ind Arty Bn, at PODONG RI (28 km N of HAEJU (YC 3812)).
Mid Sep 50 - PW reassigned to 43rd Div at KARYO JU (CT 2691).
26 Jan 51 - 43rd Div deactivated. Personnel assigned to 6th and 7th Div at OKTONG NI (DS 14.2-51.9)
6 Feb 51 - 2300 hr, 7th Div attacked by UN troops, 2nd Bn, 3rd Regt dispersed. PW captured.

2. Ammo: PW brought 58 AT shells from 43rd Div, and had no re-supply.

g. Medical:
Wounded were carried on litters and transported to Regt or Div Hosp depending on seriousness of wound. On 6 Feb 51 at OKTONG NI PW obs approx 40 casualties at the Regt aid station.
Medics: No brassards nor kits. Obs aid men armed with Russ rifles. Only mercurochrome and salve type medicines available and carried in pockets.

h. Morale:
Morale was low, due to constant air strafing.

i. Surrender Leaflets:
17 Jan 51 at YAKSA DONG (30 km N of WONJU) PW was influenced by leaflets and awaited capture by UN troops.

j. Communications:
Bn Hq to Regt Hq - 2 km; by field phone, Regt Hq to Div Hq - 6 km; by field phone.
