PW appeared to be intelligent, cooperative and was considered fairly reliable by interrogator.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Chronology:
24 Nov 47 : Volunteered for P'YONGYANG OCS, P'YONGYANG. Received 12 months supply administration course in conjunction with basic military training.
Feb 48 : NKPA organized.
Nov 48 : PW graduated with 6 others and commissioned Jr Lt (少尉) NKPA. PW assigned to 2nd Div, 6th Inf Regt, Rear Echelon Rations Supply Section, NANAM (羅南).
Dec 48 : Promoted to Sr Lt (大尉).
Jul 49 : 6th Inf Regt left NANAM.
Jan 50 : Promoted to Capt (總尉).
26 Jun 50 : 2nd Div crossed 38˚ parallel, entered CH'UNGCH'ON (春川). PW wounded in combat. Hospitalized 2 months, NKPA hospital, SEOUL.
​10 Aug 50 : PW rejoined unit at KUMCH'ON (金泉).
14 Sep 50 : 6th Inf Regt arrived in wooded hills 2km West of CH'ANGYONG (昌寧) via HYOPCH'ON, CH'OGYE (草溪).
22 Sep 50 : 6th Inf Regt withdrew west of the NAKTONG River, continued withdrawal beyond HYOPCH'ON via CH'OGYE.
26 1600 K Sep: PW captured by attacking US Army unit on highway 16km NNW of HYOPCH'ON.

Unit Withdrawals:
26 Sep 50 : 2nd Div withdraw towards KOCH'ANG from HYOPCH'ON Area (hearsay from fellow officers). From KOCH'ANG defense line to be established extending from hills immediately South of KUMCH'ON in Southwest direction (hearsay).
25 Sep 50 : 9th, 4th, 10th Divs passed through HYOPCH'ON in named order, in withdrawal towards KOCH'ANG. 18 x guns, including 15 x Regt'l Arty guns (truck-drawn) and 3 x Corps Arty (tractor-drawn) (Models unknown), observed with 9th and 4th Divs passing through HYOPCH'ON. Majority of 9th Div Arty successfully withdrawn from East of the NAKTONG River.

Armor:
25 Sep 50 : 3 x T-34/85 tanks observed in HYOPCH'ON, travelling North.

PW Information:
14 Sep 50 : 50 US Army personnel captured by 2nd Div units in CH'ANGNYONG Area (hearsay from fellow officers). US Army PsW (none wounded) sent to SEOUL PW compound.
