1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

2. ASSESSMENT:
Very cooperative but info limited due to short military service.

3. T/O & E OF PW'S UNIT:
7th Co was composed of four (4) platoons; a total of 120 men, 2 x LMG’s, 12 x SMG’s and rifles (150 rds per rifle). Sqd ldrs carried 5 x hand grenades.

4. DISPOSITION OF ABOVE UNITS:
6th Div Hq located in a tunnel 4 Km East of CHINJU.
7th Co, 3rd Bn, 13th Regt was located on OBONGSAN (五峯山).

5. PERSONAL & UNIT HISTORY:
Inducted into IYONGKUN (義勇軍) 27 Jul 50 at SEOUL. On 2 Aug 50, PW and 500 others departed SEOUL and marched through SUWON. PYONGTAEK, CHONGYANG, PUYO, KUNSAN, to CHlNJU, arriving at CHINJU on 10 Aug 50.
Informant worked as a supply bearer near CHINJU until 6 Sep 50.
On 6 Sep 50 PW and 92 others joined the People's Army and went to defend OBONGSAN (五峯山).

6. FOOD & AMMO SUPPLIES:
6th Div ammo supply point was located in a tunnel (projected RR tunnel, tracks not laid) located 4 Km East of CHINGJU. Ammo was transported here by trucks from HYOPCHON and NAMHAE. Approximately 16 truckloads of arty, & small arms ammo were arriving every night. This ammo was reloaded on regimental trucks for distribution to the regiments.

7. REPLACEMENTS:
Approximately 90% of the troops in the 6th Division were South Korean conscripts.

8. MORALE:
There was great discrimination between the South Korean conscripts and North Koreans. The North Korean always got the best of everything.
The South Koreans generally hated the North Koreans because most of the casualties were among South Koreans as the North Koreans did not venture into dangerous positions.

9. CAPTURED EQUIPMENT:
US M-1 rifles and carbines were widely used by North Korean Army.

10. MISCELLANEOUS:
Informant heard that four (4) to five (5) Japanese were with the 6th Div. These Japanese were formerly with the CCF and came to North KOREA with the Koreans who were with the CCF. (Rank and duties unknown)
